Greeting

Ken Kobayashi, Chair
(Chairman of the Japan Chamber
of Commerce and Industry)
Toshifumi Hirai, President
The social and economic environment in Japan has shifted dramatically in recent years, and the pace of change is accelerating. Under such conditions, many regions continue to struggle with many kinds of structural challenges, such as the declining birthrate and aging population.
For Japan to achieve sustainable development and revitalize its entire economy, it should urgently enhance regional economies by promoting industrial investment and increasing employment opportunities.

For more than 60 years, the Japan Industrial Location Center(JILC) has assisted in promoting industrial investment and vitalizing regional industries based on the characteristics and voices of each region, keeping in step with national policies.
At the JILC, we adopt plans of action based on our accumulated unique knowledges and experiences, even in an ever-changing social environment. We will do our utmost to continuously realize highly diversified regional societies filled with individuality and harmony by offering various services, such as conducting surveys, consulting, and implementing human resource development programs that are useful for revitalizing regional economies.
